Hello and welcome to January 8th! I’m Andrew McGivern, and You’re listening to The Daily Quote. The podcast where we dive into a notable quote each and every day. I’m thrilled to share this moment of inspiration with you.
Before we dive into today’s quote, let’s take a moment to recognize that today is National Winter Skin Relief Day. It’s a day to remind us to take extra care of our skin during the harsh winter months. The cold weather can be tough on our skin, so remember to moisturize and protect it. It’s a small act of self-care that can make a big difference in how you feel.
I never bothered with skincare until a few years ago… when I started getting Winter Itch, an itchy eczema-like rash on my legs that was caused by dry cold air exposure. It is annoying… but now I’m moisturizing. At least until springtime.
Next up, a quote from the influential civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr.:
Martin Luther King Jr. once said:
“The time is always right to do what is right.”
This powerful statement is a timeless reminder of the importance of integrity and action. It encourages us to step up and make the right choices, regardless of the timing or circumstances. Doing what is right isn’t always easy, but it’s always necessary.
On January 8th, as we think about taking care of ourselves and the world around us, let’s also reflect on the ways we can do what is right in our daily lives. Whether it’s a small act of kindness, standing up for what you believe in, or making a positive change in your community, remember that you have the power to make a difference.
As we wrap up today’s episode, I hope Martin Luther King Jr.’s words inspire you to act with courage and integrity every day. Thank you for spending part of your day with me. Until we meet again, remember that each day presents a new opportunity to do what is right and to make the world a little bit better.
And also, moisturize. I mean come on… It’s Winter Skin Relief Day for crying out loud.
