Today's quote is from Jim Rohn. He was an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker who lived from 1930 to 2009. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he inspired millions with his practical advice on personal responsibility, leadership, goal setting, and success. Many of today's leading business and personal development speakers credit Jim Rohn as one of their greatest influences.
Jim Rohn once said:
”Either you run the day or the day runs you.”
Have you ever reached the end of the day and wondered where the time went?
You were busy.
You answered emails.
You responded to messages.
You dealt with interruptions.
And somehow, the things that mattered most never got done.
Jim Rohn reminds us that every day begins with a choice.
Will we decide what deserves our attention?
Or will we allow distractions and circumstances to decide for us?
Running your day doesn't mean every hour goes according to plan. Life is unpredictable. Unexpected challenges will always arise.
But having a plan, setting priorities, and intentionally focusing on what matters gives us a much better chance of making meaningful progress.
Success is rarely the result of one extraordinary day.
It's the result of many ordinary days lived with purpose.
So here's the question:
What's the one important task you could complete today that would make you feel proud before your head hits the pillow tonight?
Remember, you don't have to control everything that happens during your day. But you can choose how you spend your time, your attention, and your energy—and those choices shape your future.
That's going to do it for today. I'm Andrew McGivern signing off for now, but I'll be back… tomorrow! Same pod time, same pod station with another Daily Quote.
