Today’s quote is from an unknown author but is often attributed online to Walt Whitman, Charlie Munger and Emma Watson.

But there is no verified attribution for any of these people.

But, someone once said…

“Never stop learning; curiosity keeps you young.”

Whoever it was that coined this phrase, the idea behind it is worth remembering. There’s something genuinely youthful about being curious.

Think about children. They ask questions constantly.

Why is the sky blue?

How does that work?

What happens if I do this?

They’re not embarrassed about not knowing. They simply want to find out. Somewhere along the way, many of us lose that curiosity.

We start thinking we’re supposed to have all the answers. We settle into routines. We stop exploring. We become experts at what we already know and avoid becoming beginners at something new.

But learning doesn't have an expiration date. It doesn’t matter how old you are. You can be curious at any age. You can start learning to play an instrument after you retire. You can read books, ask questions, take courses, travel and study for your entire life.

Every time you learn something new, you're essentially telling yourself: the world is still full of possibilities. And although curiosity doesn’t keep us physically young it keeps us mentally and spiritually engaged with the world. The youthful energy remains if you are curious.

Stay curious.Keep asking questions.Keep learning. Because the moment you stop being curious about the world is perhaps the moment your world starts feeling like it isn’t for you anymore.

So here's your question:

What is something you've always wanted to learn but you keep putting off?

Maybe today is a good day to act on that curiosity and start a new adventure. It is never too late to be curious.
