Today’s quote is from an unknown author.
Nobody knows who said…
“Out of difficulties grow miracles.”
Actually, this quote is often attributed to Jean de la Bruvere but there is no evidence that he actually said it. So I’m going with the mystery of the unknown author for today. This quote is interesting… but it makes sense.
Would a miracle grow out of laziness and ease?
Probably not.
Sometimes the experiences that we would NEVER choose for ourselves end up changing our lives for the better. Our difficulties can become turning points.
Why would that be? Because challenges reveal what we are capable of.
We don’t really know how much strength, patience, courage and determination we have until circumstances demand them.
Adversity can create opportunities. When we are in troubled times we often figure things out because we are forced to. We make hard decisions and improve our skills and knowledge.
The miracles that we grow out of our difficulties don’t look like miracles at first. They might initially look like a failure or an inconvenience, a disappointment or a detour. And remember, we can’t always control the difficulties we face but we can control how we respond to them.
Think about a difficult period in your own life. Something that, at the time, felt like a setback or even a disaster.Looking back, did anything good come out of it? Did it teach you something, introduce you to someone, change your priorities, or set you on a completely different path?
Sometimes we don't recognize the value of an experience until we're looking back on it.The difficulties we face aren't necessarily the end of the story. Sometimes they're the beginning of something extraordinary.
So here’s the question:
What are you struggling with right now that is causing you to take action to improve your self and your situation?
And be honest… if you were not struggling would you have been motivated to act?
I rest my case.
Actually, I don’t have a case but I am resting my elbow on the table.
How rude!
That’s going to do it for today. I’m Andrew McGivern signing off for now, but I’ll be back… tomorrow! Same pod time, same pod station with another Daily Quote.
