Welcome to the Daily Quote, the podcast designed to kickstart your day in a positive way. I'm your host, Andrew McGivern, and this episode is brought to you by the Great News podcast. Because great news should be heard, and the link is right here in the show notes.
Today's quote comes from an unknown author:
”Truth is… We all got a sad story. Either make it your excuse or your motivation.”
This quote reminds us of something we often forget.
Every person you meet is carrying something.
Some have experienced loss. Others have faced disappointment, illness, failure, heartbreak, or hardship. Life isn't easy for anyone.
Our struggles shape us, but they don't have to define us.
While we can't always choose what happens to us, we can choose how we respond.
Some people allow their past to become a reason they stop trying. Others use it as fuel to become stronger, more compassionate, and more determined.
History is filled with people who transformed adversity into achievement—not because they avoided hardship, but because they refused to let hardship have the final word.
That doesn't mean we ignore our pain or pretend everything is fine. Healing takes time, and it's okay to ask for help along the way.
But eventually, we each have a choice.
Will our story hold us back… or help move us forward?
So here's the question:
Is there a challenge from your past that could become a source of strength instead of a source of limitation?
Remember, your story isn't defined by what happened to you. It's defined by what you choose to do next.
That's going to do it for today. I'm Andrew McGivern signing off for now, but I'll be back… tomorrow! Same pod time, same pod station with another Daily Quote.
